About James Baddeley

James Baddeley, has spent the past 10 years working as a consultant
and in senior
management positions for dynamic charities and social businesses,
delivering growth and excellence in each. Allied to this he also
spent three years as a regional committee member for the Big Lottery
Fund, distributing grants of £10 million per year.
This charity sector experience is combined with extensive experience
of commercial sales and marketing, a background which provides him
with a strong understanding of the business principles needed for
organisations to be successful and profitable - vital knowledge for
charities in today’s climate.
Highlights of James’s career to date include raising over £3 million
in income whilst Deputy Chief Executive of Speaking Up,
helping to grow this local charity and social business from £100,000
turnover and a team of 5 staff to £4m turnover and a team of 130
staff over eight years.
He is a full certified member of the Institute of
Fundraising, having been awarded their Certificate in
Fundraising Management in 2003 and has an Advanced Certificate in
Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing
He has also been trained in using Charities Evaluation
Services evaluation systems.
